TYPE 3

Hair that is part of type 3 is more voluminous than type 2, more subject to frizz and in most cases is naturally dry hair. 3A is often confused with 2C as it is also curly. The 3A has more definition than the previous types, the curls are open and larger, while the shrinkage when drying is medium. It is the type of hair that suffers most from climate variations.

The 3B is much more defined being the famous “tonhonhoim” hair that forms the springs. They are voluminous and dry hair that has spiral-shaped curls.

The 3C also has a lot of definition, is dry and has more shrinkage than the 3B. Although it has definition, it is difficult to maintain it for many hours, so it requires some care to be modeled, as is the case with structured tapes and common tapes.

TYPE 4

Those who look at category 4 curly hair types think that the strands have a more rigid and thick texture, but in fact it is exactly the opposite. This type of hair is much more sensitive and thin, and therefore requires an extra dose of care. They are opaque threads, with few scales, dull and that break easily. Because they have few scales, the wires do not absorb hydration easily and are drier than other types.

4A is very close to 3C, but has more volume and less shine. The curls form the letter S when you stretch and are more closed.

4B does not curl, its structure is more like the letter Z. It shrinks a lot from its normal size, it is denser and well defined.

Type 4C curls are very small and hardly get defined by themselves. It is necessary to do texturing frequently and they even shrink to more than 70% of the normal length.
